A picnic

We all know that people work best when they're relaxed, and we put that theory to the test on July 31, 2003, when we and our clients agreed to forget all about work, concentrating instead of a variety of entertainment.

As the "Valdemārs" band played its music, chicken sizzled on the grill, bartenders from the famous "Balzama bārs" used their cocktail shakers to good effect, and guests at the picnic had a merry time singing karaoke.

There was a paintball competition to get rid of stress, as well as events to demonstrate physical strength. Those who choose the straightest route in their everyday work - well, they spun around in circles this time!

A seminar on timber processing

With the participation of competent timber processing specialists, "Baltic Sea Port", in collaboration with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, offered a cycle of seminars, "In-depth Timber Processing and Manufacturing Processes".

Participants gained a new view of the theoretical and practical aspects of timber processing, and they also learned how norms will change when Latvia joins the European Union.

A celebration - the 1,000^th ship has been laden!

On July 2001, 2, the Joint stock company "Baltic Sea Port" used the RD-3 pier to provide services to the 1,000^th ship since the company's establishment. That provided a good reason to look back at what had been achieved and to organise a celebration for clients and partners, thanking them for successful co-operation.

The grill was fired up, a company called Eiders provided unusual entertainment from the era of the ancient knights. Having competed in a friendly fashion, guests and company employees then spent the night listening and dancing to the music of the band Labvēlīgais tips.

 
The Rose Ball

On August 27, 2004, the stock company "Baltic Sea Port" celebrated its 10^th anniversary at the Igate Castle, which is popularly known as the "Rose Castle." That's because some 400 roses bloom on the grounds of the building. Because the company is an alliance, and the 10th wedding anniversary of married couples is sometimes known as the Rose Anniversary, it was decided to hold the celebration amidst these lovely flowers.

Performers included "Labvēlīgais Tips" and "Keksi". Karaoke specialist Frīdis organised songs for the guests, while the hosts for the evening, Fredis and Ufo, encouraged gusts to throw themselves into the passion of dancing.
